When I rebuilt my distributor, I left out the Tacho drive gears (large one on shaft, small one on flexi cable) as they were both well mangled.
Has anyone got a set, or a complete distributor, to sell?
Does anyone know if they were used on other engines?

Re: Ignition coils
Great stuff! I think silicon is a good choice as it's softer, therefore more shock absorbing than Epoxy.

Re: Ignition coils
How is the old coil constructed and how do you plan to open it up? What are the original stickers, features etc that need preserving?

Re: conquest century curtasy light switches.
A pair of these are for sale on Ebay. 17.99 seems reasonable but not cheap. Look under 'Daimler Conquest'.

Re: Tap and Die Sets
Thanks everyone - I am ordering only the taps + dies I need from Tracy Tools - saves buying loads that I will never use in a big set.
Great advice on here as always.

Tap and Die Sets
I am looking on Amazon and Ebay for a Metric tap and die set, to replace mine that was stolen recently. I like the look of the ones that come with 3 taps of each size, starter, intermediate and bottoming, a die of each size and appropriate wrenches, all in a metal box. What puzzles me is that what s...

Oh no.......OK
I started the Conquest to move it yesterday, and it had a misfire which sounded just like a burned valve or piston. Oh no, I thought, head off etc. And it had been running so smoothly! But then I did a compression test -and all six were over 140, which for a low compression engine is good. All plugs...

Re: tyres
Good point Syd, unfortunately there is not a lot of choice in high profile 15 inch sizes, but Neil ('The Old Man') seems to have found a useful solution in radials - I just want to go crossply, because I'm just plain contrary. But do watch out as the cheaper tyres are the van type (marked C in their...

Re: Conquest Door Handle wanted
I have found the original inside the boot - well pitted but matches the others! Thanks everyone.
