After a two month lay up the pump will need a lot of priming or engine spinning to get the fuel from the tank to the carbs.

Most companies put up the price for the second year indicating that the internet prices are loss leader prices to appear competitive. Either change company each year or let your policy lapse and reinsure with your old company next day at the introductory internet price again (which is what I do).

I would suggest if you look at the total posts for each of the main three marque forum categories the ratio might well represent the true state of ownership. I hope that makes sense?

No not just a Daimler thing. My Austin A90 has a red main beam warning light. Maybe it's a 50s thing.

Oil lights also seem to vary. Some cars green others orange.

Yes I thought that might be the case Kevin but not familiar with the v8s (as a straight sixer). In which case the new oil would displace the old oil (albeit purging the old oil into the sump).
