Re: UFOs & Aliens
No, I've still not encountered an Alien, although I have remembered another of those curious and convoluted SF films of the 50s - "Kronos" (1957) - and succeeded in obtaining a DVD. It's far less well known than some of the others I listed and so has never been shown on TV to my knowledge....

Re: UFOs & Aliens
Back again guys, after a gap due to the previous difficulties. In general regarding the proliferation of documentary style material about Aliens and Unidentified Aerial Phenomenae on television and in books, I have no more regard for them than I would have for any claim that the dear science fiction...

Re: Problems with getting access to this forum
I haven't revisited the Forum since my last post on the "Aliens and UFOs" thread, but I've had no problem so far on this visit, I didn't need to log in today having not logged out that last time. I'll submit this directly without a preliminary review, let's see................

Re: UFOs & Aliens
Sorry Guys, I've just spent the past hour setting out some more thoughts , but upon clicking the preview button I was warned that access to that resource is forbidden, in large black letters, and my work appears to be irretrievable. Perhaps the aliens have taken objection to what I said; it's never ...

Re: UFOs & Aliens
I have to say that I'm trying very hard not to visit Quora, it's a huge waste of time. However I've never heard of the Long Valley Caldera, we've visited Yosemite NP and Mono Lake, both of which are close by, but we never saw any reference to it. We'd have included it had we known, oh dear! I'm surp...

Re: UFOs & Aliens
Sorry, I omitted to mention the key difference between Yellowstone and the Cascadia range of volcanoes nearer the Pacific coast. Yellowstone sits atop a mantle plume, as does Hawaii. These are convection streams of very hot rock rising from near the bottom of the mantle, next to the core. Hence the ...

Re: UFOs & Aliens
Yes, the Rocky Mountains of Western Canada and the US are there for a reason. Much closer to Seattle is Mount Rainier, a beautiful snow covered peak to see in the distance beyond the city, and I'm sure the US Geological Survey will know if magma starts to rise below it, but when to tell the populati...

Re: UFOs & Aliens
I've just finished reasding the 60 pages of notes at the end of 'Where is Everybody?' There are mentions therein of other titles mostly relating to the evolution of the Earth, with regard to those aspects that are relevant to the evolution of life and intelligence, including: "Rare Earth - Why ...

Re: UFOs & Aliens
Hi Everyone My visits to the Forum, and to this thread, have been rare for several years, for many reasons that aren't relevant, but I've discovered a book that I recommend to anyone interested in the topic of Extra-terrestrial Civilisations, or ETCs, or Aliens in a general sense. Details below: &qu...
