Re: Manual V8 saloon on ebay uk..

It was there yesterday but it seems to have been removed this morning, asking £8,500 bidding had reached £4,500 reserve not met. As you say the overdrive does make the car so much better, odd that in the day anyone buying such an expensive car would not opt for overdrive, but then mine has no power ...

Re: Buying (or not) a Daimler Conquest Century

Hi Misi. Firstly welcome to the forum, I know very little about Conquest Century but I do know quite a lot of Centurys were built, no doubt someone will tell us shortly how many, so not so rare in the UK and quite a few went to America. The supply of most second hand Century spares is quite good, th...

Re: Daimler Consort

I am a member of several forums and sadly this sort of thing happens all the time, some one has a panic, his car is promised for a family wedding, he asks an urgent question, either as a guest or by joining the forum, then does not respond when the answer is freely given by active members. To be fai...

Re: Drilling holes in dense concrete

No2 Son is a carpenter and gave me a 240 volt De Walt SDS drill many years ago when he had to change to 110, the old thing is superb and drilling just about anything. Before you hire one, most builders use battery drills these days and have old 240 and 110 volt drills lying around, my son has severa...

Re: V8 250 Significant Change in Oil Pressure

Hi Dave, interesting discussion and it took my thoughts to my 37 Muliner 15 which as you will know for some strange reason has it's oil pressure gauge under the bonnet fitted to the oil filter casting. Never could understand the logic in it's position. When I got the car, the engine was and still is...

Re: Probably done to death but radio interference!

Mark, There are two types of radio interference which sound very different. A clicking noise at tick over, which if you listen carefully coincides with the plugs firing and increases in level but not in frequency with engine revs, is almost certainly ignition interference or noise. Solution is to su...
