Re: One thousand

I love a bit of fun and don't mind a leg pull at all John, where would we be in life if we could not laugh at our selves  I can't recall where I had got to in the old forum or what my title was, seem to think it was over 500 but I do think we could revive the tradition if admin could cope. Noti...

Re: LD10 Bakelite Spark plug cover

A labour of love and remarkable achievement by the OP. I once had a set of alloy wheels and matching centre trims which came with a load of other bits I did not need, so I listed them on to fleabay. To my surprise they sold for five times what I expected. I spoke to the buyer and it seems the centre...

One thousand

Just recently I noticed my postings are approaching 1000 and that led me to think about how to celebrate the milestone and I came up with this one. 10 grumps of an old man. (1) What happened to a kindly wave when you give another driver or he gives you the right of way, or a thank you when you let s...

Pardon me if I am wrong but me thinks our Karen has joined the forum to promote her company/website cardotcheck.

Karen I am sorry if I do you an injustice, put it down to me being a grumpy old man, but I cannot see any other reason for your contribution.

Re: Voltage Spikes

Did you get to the bottom of this Roger? If it is the case that Rogers problem is Chinese rubbish, you have to question why these terrible Chinese products are allowed out of the country, it is such a waste of world resources and material. They set up a factory "design" the product put in the toolin...

Re: Dart vertical links

I have to admit that I was hesitant about joining in with the last effort to replicate these items and have always regretted it , not because of the cost ,but because I did not want them at the time. But with the selling price around £1000 it must surely be becoming worth the investment in the tooli...

Withdrawn as no longer available, looks like Quinten has sold it off fleabay, naughty boy I hope he does not get his hand smacked by fleabay as I did for doing something similar. Last time I looked it was still on £310.

Re: Voltage Spikes

Roger, I presume you are using the same wiring and relay? I also presume the new horns you are using are conventional twin tone horns and not air horns? In which case I can't see why the old horns worked OK and the new ones last only five minutes, except perhaps if the supplier has perhaps supplied ...

Re: SP250 grille

Its a refurb rather than new old stock Nick, but looks good, shot up to £310 on day one and has stayed there since with six days to go, well known reliable seller. Syd
