David has measured the bearings which do have a steel shell.

Re: 1957 Daimler New Drop Head Coupe Three Seater Cam Bearingss
Did David say he could make them if he had a pattern?
I have a scrap engine block. I can extract the bearings from that and send them to David to use as patterns. I could also lend him a camshaft to measure.
Would that help? I can liaise with David directly if required.

Have you tried David Beales Engineering or Daimler Enthusiasts Club (John Nash)?

Re: Conquest light switch wiring
I have found a switch from a MK1 Century, I thought I had seen it when looking for something else yesterday. I should be able to work out which is the off position. I will try later. If it works at all, I should be able to work out the terminals as well Interestingly it does rotate through 360 degre...

Re: Conquest light switch wiring
I think I have a MK2 Century switch with wiring attached. I'll have a look and see if I can figure something out, however I know it does not rotate through 360degrees.

You are right it's not a Century. It's a MK1 Conquest Saloon with 75hp engine.

Re: non starting la10
Well, as the spark is occurring at the right time and at the right lead, then it seems that the timing is set correctly.
Nothing else springs to mind, I’m afraid.
Good luck

Re: non starting la10
60 degrees is a long way off. I don't know the exact timing but it will be about 8 degrees before TDC. This is when the rotor arm should be pointing at the No1 lead in the distributor cap. 8 degrees is virtually the same as TDC as far as this exercise concerned. If the rotor arm points at No1 with t...
