I would say that is a definite no no, as far as I know the fluid flywheel can't work backwards.

If your replacement rod ends are modern manufacture the grease nipple holes may well be metric.

There is another junction box/boxes mounted on the inside of the chassis at the very back right hand side.

Could this be the same car as shown on page 9 of the May DM? If I remember rightly the guy showed me an old tax disc which appeared to say YPL but I suppose could have been YPE.

Thanks for that info Syd, I knew there were motorcycle spanners and was not too sure which was which, I never gave cycle spanners a thought. If nobody wants them I'll put them on e-bay and see what happens, I hate just throwing things away!
