Re: Push rod difference
Kent, Thanks for the feedback. I went back and took a look and all sets are either thick or thin at both ends however what I did not realize was the outer diameter on the "small" ones is .040" less in outside diameter. It may prove to be poor oil changes or poor oil but it seems too c...

Push rod difference
In the process of replacing the heads on my original engine, I notice a couple of them were damaged at the ball cup. I went into my spares and came across an issue I thought I'd seek input on. The push rods both inlet and exhaust have different thickness "cups" on each set. One set has .03...

Re: Siezed engine STILL.!
Has anyone used Hylomar M Blue an aerosol spray on product for head gasket sealing?
I'm in the act of reassembling my spare engine with reconditioned heads and I do have the older product in a tube but question if a more even coating could be accomplished.

Re: Brake upgrade
In your quest for front brake upgrade I don't know if you found the article or converting to 4 piston Toyota calipers and rotors. Its a modification done to Triumph cars, I believe TR2 - TR6, but mainly TR4-TR6. I have done it on my Dart but although its inexpensive in the USA about $150 I don't rec...

Majestic Major Carburettor
Would any many have the parts manual for the Majestic Major? Looking for the part numbers for the Slow running adjuster parts, my 2" carb is AUC 949 and AUC 949R For the 1 3/4" carb used on the Dart the same parts are part number AUC 2028, AUC 2029 and AUC 2030 these may also be the same. ...

Re: DB18/2 lifting the car
While I don't have a DB18 I do use a double scissor style (2 platforms) lift for my Dart. It came with hard rubber blocks that sit under the chassis on the platform in 2 places each side, no weight is taken by the sills. All mechanical components can be serviced. In the past I've had 4 post style li...
