Re: SP250 Tonneau cover

To anyone interested in the purchase of the Tonneau I would advise letting it getting to at least room temperature and possibly higher, say 25 to 30 degrees when it comes to fitting. This should help it become more supple when first fitting and easing the operation.

Re: SP250 Dwell angle

Does the fact that there are two sets of points make a difference ?
Also how much wobble is in the shaft ? If it is considerable then it will exacerbate the findings.
That said if it is running sweet then leave it well alone.

Re: Spit pins and castellated nuts

Depends upon the manufacturers specifications. But as a rule take out the play in the bearing and then go tighter to the next available alignment. Re: Sale of new Petrol & Diesel only cars to be banned from 2035

The end results, if there ever will be an end result, will have to be a balance between manufacturing having to sell there products (be it fuel or the vehicles that run on it ), the restrictions of freedom for the users (it may restrict poorer people buying newer cars) and the taxation requirements ...

Re: SP 252

I must admit I do like the styling. It has shades of MGB but yet reminds me of Aston Martin.
IF is a big word but I feel sure that Jaguar could of made a lovely car with a little development.
The colour suits the car well.

SP 252

I read in Classic Car Weekly this week that the SP 252 is up for sale. No asking price just a contact name and number. I mentioned it to the wife and just got a very stern look.
