Re: V8-250 Saloon: Seat Frames

Hello, Can anyone confirm if the front seat frames (driver & pax) on a V8 saloon are the same be it a manual or auto car, please. I am specifically interested in the seat base , as I know the seat cushion on the manual -v- auto is shaped slightly differently to facilitate gearstick movement and for...

Re: V8-250 Saloon - Heater Box Rod

Evening all, I thought that rather flimsy rod operates the Hot/cold position internal flap as super thoroughly described here :http://valvechatter.us/?p=4681 When heater slider control is selected to "Cold" the incoming air is not passed over (or through) the heating element/heater radiator but by ...

Starter solenoid rain protection shroud

Hello everyone Whilst continuing with my lockdown tinkering I thought I would remove the starter solenoid and start there to clean as many electrical connections and earthing points as I can get to as a lot of mine haven't been disconnected and cleaned since January 1967. This involved removing the ...

Re: Come ON You Horrible Lot

Lower steering column overhaul, new socket made as old one was worn and new T-piece bearings made from "PEEK" as new so called replacements from the usual suspects are not fit for purpose.

V8 engine on e-bay

This could be quite cheap by todays standards, may need some looking at though, at least the seller has dug it up for you : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DAIMLER-250-V8-ENGINE-MK2-JAG-SPARES-REPAIRS-PROJECT-BARN-FIND-REBUILD-ETC/324121279684?hash=item4b77223cc4%3Ag%3ACu4AAOSwC4Beg4iv&LH_ItemCondition=3...
