Re: It’s been a while

Thank you Tom. I think that’s where my problem lies. All the linkage was removed cleaned and painted and no measurements were taken . I will have to get the car off the ground, slowly apply the brakes and get someone to keep turning the wheels to see which apply first. As they are, the car is near i...

It’s been a while

Not been on here for at least a couple of years, I fully restored an lj200 and then covid came along, so I bought a 56 split screen minor as a project. I finished the new project and tend to get my lj200 back on the road. I’ve only driven it about 20 miles and then it went back in the garage. The 2 ...

Re: Lanchester Leda front shocks

This isn’t what I did, but if they are slipping out, why not clean them, put a bit of super glue on them, clamp them in the vice and leave them for an hour, they will break free of the glue when you tighten them. I will try and have a look tomorrow

Re: Lanchester Leda front shocks

I did mine last year and had problems, I will try and have a look tomorrow and it should come back to me how I did it. I do remember having to drill out the spacers to fit the bolts, but can’t remember if that was the front or the back ones on my lj200.

Re: Lanchester Leda front shocks

Did you try a bit of a bit of fairy liquid to lubricate and then squeeze them up in a vice before fitting , if they won’t squeeze, hacksaw a few mm of one of the rubbers, other way is to squeeze them in with a bottle jack supported by a wooden block

LD10 parts

I have chance of an ld10 but it needs a lot of interior parts, only seen pictures of it, the body is sound, but it needs new dash, Brown door cards, reupholstering, new wood for the door tops, headlining. Not sure if it’s going to be worth buying if the parts are going to cost a fortune, I have done...
