Well the part number for the slave cylinder is meant to be 308049 (Daimler) the Girling number is 64068867 so I think at least the label for the kit is right.

I found on the DJ accelerator pedal that it is necessary to disconnect the linkage (small ball joint) at the top of the pedal to allow it to pivot fully back on its bottom hinge. This allows access to lubricate the pivot properly. It is prone to binding and my pedal broke at this point before replac...

A photo in the Wilf Stephens technical articles shows the springs in a little more detail. You can see that the fat spring is not stretched when the distributor is stationary.

Aston Martin specialist Four Ashes Garage have had new parts made for the petrol reserve units. I think they can supply complete units as well as refurbish with anodized ethanol resistant fittings.
