Re: Electronic Ignition Type
On My SP and Riley RMB I'm using Pertronix 2 with "flamethrower" coils and carbon core plug leads. I've had no issues with either and find its a fit and forget option rather than having to faff around with contact points. However I do carry points and condensers just in case. The Riley not...

Re: Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
First of all Thanks very much Henry for the offer of the MGB regulators I'll look forward to receiving them. I have managed to make a working regulator from the Jaguar rear window regulator however it was a lot of work and due to the Daimler regulator small drive gear being quite well worn I doubt i...

Re: Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
Well the Mk2 Jag rear window regulator arrived yesterday. Absolutely of no use at all as no parts are compatible with the SP regulator. :( I'm sure I read somewhere that the Mk2 Jag regulator could be adapted but believe me it cant. I was hoping to be able to use the quadrant gear and the small driv...

Re: Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
I've bought a Mk2 jag rear door regulator that looks like its had little use. I'm currently waiting for it to arrive so not sure what alterations will be required. It wasn't expensive so if it turns out to be totally unsuitable then it will bulk up the scrap pile :D I'll report back soon-ish hopeful...

Re: Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
Ian, Would you happen to know if there is more to do with the jaguar Mk2 rear window regulator than simply changing the arms?
Thanks, Jim

Re: Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
Looking deeper into the window regulator replacement possibly the Mk2 Jag/Daimler rear regulator may be a better option than the MGB one? Again has anyone went this route?

Re: Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
Hi Roger,
I did the same as you on the drivers side however on the passenger side regulator the small drive gear has has unfortunately had its day.
Keen to go the MGB regulator route as MGB regulators are apparently plentiful.

Dart / MGB window regulator fitting
I was wondering if anyone has adapted a MGB window regulator for use on their dart I believe parts are compatible? My passenger side regulator had seen better days as the gear teeth on both gears had had it. D.M.G only offer the regulators inn pairs and don't need the drivers side one as I recently ...

Magnum Force movie Dart noticed in car park
I was watching Clint "Dirty Harry" in Magnum Force last evening and noticed a Dart parked up next to where Dirty Harry parked. The scene was when he was speaking with the three "baddy" cops on motorbikes. I wondered if this had been noticed before although I guess it's been poste...
