DB/DJ Wheels
I need to move a Consort which has rotten tyres but I do have a set of grotty but inflated tyres on Conquest wheels. At least for the purposes of pushing the car around (rather than driving it) will Conquest wheels fit Consort hubs?

DJ Paint and Speedo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoVpCKL8Hz8 1956 Conquest Century First thing I noticed was the very impressive paintwork - just shows what a smart car these Conquests are. Second thing I noticed was the 120mph speedometer - I am sure I have only ever seen 100mph speedos in Conquest saloons (75 or 1...

Re: Docker's Daimlers
Very gratifying to see the book can broadly please even a specialised audience. Addressing a number of comments in no particular order... Yes, I agree that the V8 engines (and therefore the cars that contained them) would presumably not have come into being had Sir Bernard not been replaced by Jack ...

Re: Docker's Daimlers
Lets see now.... Off the top of my head the Docker cars (in no particular order) are located as follows Golden Zebra - Louwman Museum, The Hague Stardust - private owner, last one was in Japan but now in Europe I think Gold Car - private owner, USA Green Goddess - private owner, USA but there is one...

Re: Docker's Daimlers
Well thanks for the kind comments so far. I suppose I ought to clarify that the book is about Docker's Daimlers in the sense that it is about the Daimlers produced under or in consequence of the Chairmanship if Sir Bernard Docker. This is stretching a point a little in the case of the V8 cars which ...

DB18 Duncan
I don't think I had heard of this one before. This body style from Duncan is well known on Alvis and Healey chassis but not Daimler. Is it a one off?

Docker's Daimlers
The book is now on sale - simply google "Amberley Publishing Daimler".
Next job to do is my biography of Norah Docker... In the meantime, a big thank you to everyone who helped with information and especially photos.

Re: Docker Daimlers
Eric Suddenly I have remembered that in 2011 someone called John Quemard was selling Hooper records for a number of Daimlers. I was interested in the DK400 ones but not at the £600+ per car he was expecting. Being an actual owner you might feel inclined to see if he still has them. For your car the ...

Re: Docker Daimlers
Hello Eric The book is now off being printed and due for release on 15 July - doubtless there'll be queues outside Waterstones from the early hours... This forthcoming volume will be a guide to the cars produced under or resulting from Bernard Docker's chairmanship but, as you say, what is needed is...
