Re: Rocker oil feed pipe

Fit the oil pipe to the heads and using a fine blowtorch heat the middle of the pipe loops to cherry red and allow to cool slowly. Try to keep clear of the banjos and not melt the solder although that can be easily repaired. Softening the pipes that way will relieve any stresses and they will be muc...

Re: V8-250 Saloon: Hazard Warning Lights

Thanks Richard but I was hoping to make up my own kit with bits and pieces I have available.
I just don't like buying things if I can make them myself, anyway it's more fun and satisfying.

Re: V8 250 Tie rod removal

For future reference the taper can usually be undone by hitting the end of the tie rod, or whatever, a sharp crack with a hammer along the line of the rod. This usually distorts the circular female taper bit sufficiently to loosen the male taper part. Leave the nut on loosely to protect the threads ...

Re: SP250 residual brake pressure valve and remote servo - brakes binding?

One thing to check is the master cylinder. Re: Advance Weight Springs

No. The long spring is OK. It does not pull the weights together at rest, it controls how far the rotor arm twists when the engine is running.

Re: Five Legged Hydraulic Wheel / Hub Puller

No, it is not a Sykes. There is no name that I can see but I got it from an engineering firm in England, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

It is very similar to the Sykes type ones but a lot cheaper. It does the same job though.

Five Legged Hydraulic Wheel / Hub Puller

I have for sale a five legged hydraulic hub / wheel puller suitable for SP250 and 250 V8 rear hubs. I bought it to remove my SP hubs so it has only been used for one job, therefore in excellent as new condition. Only four legs are used for the SP, they fit onto the wheel studs and are held by the wh...
