Hi Jim
Thanks for writing up your dissection of a seat. It will either be very helpful for future reference or scare me off ever starting the job!
Cheers

Re: V8 Manual front seats - info please
Hi Jim
Thanks for the update. It would be useful to have some pictures of 'what lies beneath' for future reference. Also good to know that Aldridge will have a pattern for manual cars for the future.

Re: V8 Manual front seats - info please
Hi Mike If you search on 'gaiter' you'll find a discussion from a year ago on the subject. Christian Demler was looking for pictures and dimensions with a view to getting new gaiters manufactured. Maybe it would be worth enquiring if he was successful? There were also some images submitted of altern...

Re: V8 Manual front seats - info please
Hi Jim I've attached some pictures with the seats fully forward and the gear lever in R, 4th and 2nd, plus one picture with the passenger seat fully back to provide an idea of the range of movement available. I'm 5'9" and drive with the seat pretty much fully forward. It looks like there is a l...

Re: V8 Manual front seats - info please
Hi Jim I have had my nose to the grindstone this week so have joined this thread late. I could take some pictures of the seats in my car fully forward with reverse, 2nd and 4th selected if that would be of any use? Richard makes a good point about the perforations, as the vast majority of manual car...

Re: New Owner - 1968 Daimler 250 Saloon - Suffolk
Hello Pete The original spec seals were fitted when I bought the car, but they bulged out of all the shut lines and didn't seal properly, leading to excessive wind noise from the door tops above 30mph. They seemed quite soft, so I had the quandary of whether I should remove and then try to refit the...

Re: V8 250 Rear brake issue.
Hello Dave I can only commiserate, having overhauled my braking system over the summer. As Richard has said, there is a recent thread on the Forum which discusses a variety of issues that several of us have encountered. For a variety of reasons I haven't yet put very many miles on the car since comp...
