A J W Birmingham wing mirrors

Hi all, I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve got a quick “period” question, although not specifically DLOC. I bought some wing mirrors for a Porsche speedster kit car I used to own, but never used them because they were hidden away in a box that I’ve now re-found! They are chromed/ stainless steel and...

Using molasses for rust removal

Hi everyone, I'm restoring a 1951 LD10 and I'm looking to save as much money as possible by doing the work myself where I can. I've seen lots of promising videos and discussions online, but I wanted to see if anyone in DLOC had any first hand experience of this rust removal technique. I'm looking at...

Re: LD10 wiring harness

Hi Chris, I had 2 new harnesses made for both my LD10's. Which one is yours? Cheers Keith Hi Keith, I've got a 1951 Barker. The original wiring in the engine bay was an absolute mess, so although it's in one of the many bits in bags from "Lanky" (original I know) for safe keeping, I doubt it's wort...

LD10 wiring harness

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone had attempted making their own wiring harness for the LD10? I know that one is available to buy, but surely this is fairly straight forward and considerably cheaper if done at home? The only thing I'd have to guess at would be the required lengths of each differ...
