Hi Richard I replaced the rear screen a couple of months ago, the new seal was from D Manners and the instructions were to put the rubber in the car surround then fit the screen, Some parts of the rubber pulled away from the surround on fitting but was able to force back in using a plastic trim tool...

Its OK I had a go at the job today and by removing the drop arm from the power steering box was able to put the assembly in the vice and separate it.
New tie rod end now fitted.

I having a problem splitting the joints, the outer rods are easy to split using a normal splitter tool, but I can get a splitter to fit the centre tie rod ends as there is no space for the tool. Hi Richard 16mm2 is the correct size, I would use crimp connectors, You can make your own using a nut with a hole a bit smaller than the diameter of the lug, cut it in half, it may need a bit of filing then put the two halves of the nut around the lug in a big vice and compress. I have now fitted it successfully, not sure if the chrome finishers are just meant to stay loose on the rubber trim ends?

V8 250 Rear bumper trim

Hi what is the correct method for installation of the rear bumper rubber trim and chrome finishers on a slim bumper 69 V8 250, is the trim glued or just pushed on?
Any help welcome.
