Hi
I need to remove the rear hubs to replace the oil seals on my Dj254, Conquest DHC. Can anyone help with the hire or supply of the Hub removal tool Workshop manual No. T.620-3-1
I've tried using a 3 leg puller but needs something stronger.

Re: Conquest Drophead steering pin bushes
Hi David
I also have a small amount of play in the king pins on my DJ 254, I plan to do some work on the car in the next few weeks and have a look at them.
I'll let you know if I decide to do any work on them, In the meantime can anyone give advice?

Hi
the recommended lubricants page in the 1956 first edition manual has Shell 10w/30 is this not a multigrade oil?

Re: Splined hubs wanted for Daimler V8 250 (Also loan of Puller)
Hi Steve
I have some old hubs but you need to fit new hubs and MWS can supply tubeless wire wheels, The problem with second hand hubs and wheels is the splines will be worn this will show up as play like a bad wheel bearing.
New hubs are about £90 each.

I have used Morris 10/40 for the last 11years and travelled thousands of miles on rally's and holidays no problems.

Yes I would be interested.
Has anyone got any more pictures or details of how it's fitted?

Re: V8-250 Saloon: Running-In Oil
Hi Richard I do not think you need to try and flush out all the old oil from the tappet chest, it should not be that contaminated after only 500 miles or less. the important thing is to change the oil each year or sooner maybe 6 months after all a new filter is only about £7. I am not an expert on t...

Re: V8-250 Saloon: Running-In Oil
Hi Richard I used to use Penrite oils many years ago but they are expensive, A few years ago we had a visit to MORRIS LUBRICANTS factory arranged by the DLOC and was impressed with the high quality of the production. They test all grades produced in their labs to a high standard. I now buy my oils l...
