Re: Ld10 headlamp bulbs

Hi Ivor, thanks for that, they are local to me too.

I’ve found the bulbs from classic car LED. BA15 fitting.

Ld10 headlamp bulbs

Hi all, I need to replace the headlamp bulbs in my ld10, what code are they? In the book it says Lucas no 54 but I can’t reference that to anything in a google search. I’d really like to improve them as they are a dim yellow and seriously no good at night. Any suggestions? She has a new wiring loom ...

Re: Special Sports fuel pump fittings

Hi Peter, I’ve got that just under the front passenger seat, but it’s still pulling very fine red stuff into the carb float bowl. I was told I need a glass bowl type of filter which lets the sediment fall.

Maybe the plastic filter I used was a cheap one, who knows!

Re: LD10 brakes help please

Hi Colin, Good advice. Yes they were Re lined and the drums have not been machined. The idea of chalking is brilliant, I’ll have a go. I’m sure the linings should have a leading edge, seems only the top is touching the drum and the rest is still like new. I have a mg TC so understand older brakes bu...

LD10 brakes help please

Hi all, I wonder if I could ask for your advice. I’m commissioning my LD 10 after a long restoration partially done by my dad. The brakes just do not pull up at all well and I’m standing on the pedal with partial braking..... it stops but ... errrr... not right. So I looked at the front adjustment t...

Re: Basics engine help!

Hi, no vacuum take off point, but good idea about the air leakage. New gaskets in, so I don’t think it’s there ... but worth checking. I’ll also put some oil on the spindle ends and see what happens. Thanks for the advice. I’ll let you know how it goes
