Re: engine no start hot.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply. As a matter of interest I was quoted $250.00 at a local auto trans shop. I have priced some from the UK much more reasonable.

I can start it by using the push button on the fire wall mounted solenoid. Are the solenoids or inhibitor switch affected ...

Re: Door Tread Plates

Thanks for the replies. It seems like they were a mat/ satin finish from the factory. I will try some very fine steel wool and metal polish.

Re: Door Tread Plates

Hi All,
The tread plates are screwed in place on my 64 sedan, Can any body advise what sort of finish they should have? Mine seem to have a dull diagonal lined finish. would they have had a polished finish or a satin finish?

Re: V8-250 Saloon: Overrun Blues

Hi all, what an interesting thread as my 64 Saloon has all the above issues, lots of blue smoke on start up, not quite excessive oil consumption and rear crankshaft seal leak. The car shows 92,000 miles but I doubt this to be correct as I have the original owners manual, the engine is the original a...
