I remember my family DB18 had a bath chain dangling on the road as did many cars in the fifties. I was told to aid travel sickness but probably nonsense.

Thanks for that, I have never checked the battery cable as it cannot be seen easily so out of mind. Another thing to check on my DB18 which must be similar.

Is there an easy quick way to check the condenser, I have wondered for years on how to check the odd ones in my old box of bits.

I have just had this problem on my DB18, I believe the studs may have expanded with rust but what ever expanded them they seized to the head. I had no alternative but to drill each one out, it took hours plus many drill bits and one electric drill Horrendous job all because a valve stuck. Best of lu...
