For those interested in replacing the throttle spindle bushes within the HD6 carb here are some engineering drawings on how to make a reaming tool to make it a simple task. First you need to buy a "Trend Counterbore bit" part number: SNAP/CB/1TC which works out at about £22.00. Trend Count...

Yes I believe Burlen seals are E10 proof but they would see very little exposure to fuel and it would probably be age rather than the "E" villain that would that them out in the long run. For those reading the thread in the future, I'll post some engineering drawings on a separate thread (...

If you fancy going all the way I've got the special bush reaming tool that you're more than welcome to borrow FOC. Seems like a daunting job but its a very slow controlled process which I'm more than willing to talk you through

After having rebuild several of the hd6 carbs I believe you won't find a dedicated specific shaft as a replacement, the kits always come with a generic longer version.
