Re: 250 V8

Hi Sara,
No problem.
I have two of the SU pumps, one as I said is a negative earth and it does work (off a 1968 car). The other I picked up recently in a job lot with some gauges but I'm not sure about the polarity and whether or not it works. There is no identification make on it.
Regards,
Bill.

Hi.
Please send me your email address and I will post you pictures or call me on 07977965635.
It is marked negative earth, AUB 662 on the pump body and the number 47 on the motor flange.

Re: 250 V8

Yes the pump was working when I last tested it.
I will check it out to make sure and advise you.
It was taken off a negative earth car.

Re: Air filter.

Hi Steve.
Can you give me the item number for the filters you ordered on Ebay please?
I've looked on there and there are many filters but non seem to be of the correct dimensions to fit the twin V8 filter boxes.
Thanks,
Bill.

Re: OIL GAUGE PROBLEM.

Thanks Sid for that. I follow your logic and was thinking along the same lines to find and eliminate the fault. My concern also was, that had I not noticed the gauge needle was missing (it was on full defection) it could have ended up with a possible fire behind the dash panel as this circuit is not...

OIL GAUGE PROBLEM.

Today I took my 250 saloon for an MOT and all went well with a clean sheet-a pass. On returning I noticed the oil gauge needle was off the scale and nowhere to be seen. More concerning was that went I tapped the dial to see if it was stuck I noticed the gauge was WARM! I stopped the car turned off t...

Re: Seats & Headlining

Hello Bob, I'm due to have my seats back tomorrow from a local trimmer here in Swansea all with new leather. The old ones especially the fronts were way beyond repair so I decided to get them all done for colour match. I will let you know the outcome. The trimmer has taken a long time so I'm hoping ...
