Re: Leda Bootlid

Ranald's pic shows one of the prototypes which has struts to hold up the boot and external hinges (which you can't see in the pic) This was changed in the production run to the self - supporting springs and internal hinges as the powers that be felt the external ones spoiled the lines. Re: Conquest Century 7939BP

Rescued from a Welsh farm by DaveP and sold to Greville Taverner. Greville kept it for some years and sold it prior to acquiring his Majestic.

I don't know the current seller.

It's a jolly good car, by the way!!!

Re: Buying (or not) a Daimler Conquest Century

Mike, 1. The delightful registration number is worth zilch in Hungary! 2. I would be looking to pay £5000 for a car in good condition, requiring no major mechanical or body attention. This requires both. 3. You are looking at £2000 for a decent engine rebuild (reground crank. new con rods and shells...

Bit at a time, corner to corner. Only tighten until you get a seal (use a bit of blue Hylomar). It's not holdin...

Re: Battery charger voltage

Some bright spark "borrowed" the batteries from our class 31 loco to get their Class 25 moving. They failed to return them and the loco sat for 18 months with them still in it. On eventually recovering them, it was found that 12 were absolutely shot and a further 9 were "borderline". The man from Sh...
