Ranald's pic shows one of the prototypes which has struts to hold up the boot and external hinges (which you can't see in the pic) This was changed in the production run to the self - supporting springs and internal hinges as the powers that be felt the external ones spoiled the lines. Rescued from a Welsh farm by DaveP and sold to Greville Taverner. Greville kept it for some years and sold it prior to acquiring his Majestic.

Ron, Be VERY careful replacing the thermostat housing to the rad. It's made of cast iron and the rad is thin copper............................ Tighten the nuts like doing a cylinder head. Bit at a time, corner to corner. Only tighten until you get a seal (use a bit of blue Hylomar). It's not holdin...
