Re: Lanchester LA10 Valve Clearances.
UPDATE. The engine now runs as sweet as a nut. It never started or ran properly when I purchased the car, a combination of previous people fiddling with it prior to my purchase. Lanchester LA10 Valve Clearances.
Valve clearances for the Lanchester LA10.
10hp engine.
On the rocker cover it states....4.6.
What clearances are others setting theirs at.?
If I open the valve clearance to a lot more than I am used to on other engines I get excellent compression readings.

Re: Lanchester LA10 Fuel issue
3061 carb fitted.
New rebuild kit fitted from Burlen Fuel Systems.
I was told to tighten up the mixture screw underneath and then open it up about 5 flats.
Is this correct.?

Re: Lanchester LA10 Fuel issue
I had it briefly running last week but it then decided not to start.
Checked compression which was down .
Removed cylinder head.
Rebuilt head .
Refitted head .
Good compression now.
Still no fuel getting to plugs.

Re: Lanchester LA10 Fuel issue
Fuel getting to the rebuilt carb as it is spitting out.
Does not seem to be drawing the petrol from the carb into the inlet manifold.
All new gaskets .
No leaks.
