I was watching a YouTube film of Patrick Stewart meeting Sir Stirling Moss
and at 49 mins in there is a still of Moss in hospital after his crash, looking at the TV...
I wonder what he was thinking!

Re: dart clutch and rear axle grease points
HI, Paul. The clutch grease points are, according to my manual, accessible through removing rubber bungs either side of the transmission tunnel. However, in my car, these do not exist. The grease points themselves are either end of the clutch operating shaft. Hopefully the one on the driver's side i...

Re: SP250 Transmission Tunnel Modifications for Overdrive
Thanks, Jez. Interesting tip for the 3/8" bolts. I have noticed the the handbrake is too tight to the tunnel but didn't think of this as a way to move it. I have fitted the relay having read about the switch problems you mention but also operate it with the dip switch on the floor and a bit of ...

Re: SP250 Transmission Tunnel Modifications for Overdrive
Thank you very much, Nick!
That was exactly what I was looking for. I am very impressed with the quality of your record-keeping and recall - also the standard of workmanship!
I will return to the garage at the weekend...
With thanks again,
Simon

Does anybody have any pictures or advice they can share about the modifications that need to be made to the transmission tunnel cover and surrounding bodywork when fitting a J type overdrive to an SP250? I have found 3 problems with the set up that exists in my car: 1) The speedo drive has worn a gr...

According to the SP250 Register Holland, the XJS wind deflector fits. I have no experience of trying it but you could contact the register for more details.

Re: Carburettor Linkages
An update on the above. New shorter linkages and the longer one adjusted to the correct length, left the accelerator pedal about 5cm above the stop on full throttle. The only way I could see to adjust this out was to modify the pedal itself, so I sourced a second-hand one from Manners and have cut a...
