Always look at "ACTIVE TOPICS" which gives all posts in date & time order if you can't find a post as topics are sometimes moved; or look at "Your Posts".

Re: One thousand

Hi John-B, I'm afraid you have set something of a president calling Syd "Grumpy" - so being a direct conotation with the seven dwarfs in Snow White, here's your challenge: Who are you going to call the other six?? i.e: Dopey - Doc - Happy - bashful - Sneezey and Sleepy? Stan. I'll think about that,...

Re: One thousand

There was a post about numbers of posts being carried over to this forum, but it's no use anyone telling me what they think they had on the old forum because I can't alter the post number for anyone on this forum without access to the database, which I haven't got. I've created a rank "Wise Guy" for...

Re: One thousand

I didn't realise that I had the permission as a second level administrator to set ranks, so I've created a special rank just for Syd, temporarily. Look under his username to the left of his post. I'll delete it soon. Hope you don't mind, Syd.

Re: Insurance

Pardon me if I am wrong but me thinks our Karen has joined the forum to promote her company/website cardotcheck. Karen I am sorry if I do you an injustice, put it down to me being a grumpy old man, but I cannot see any other reason for your contribution. I thought the same and was waiting to see if...

Re: Voltage Spikes

Are you sure you have connected the horns correctly? Cheap horns can be connected with either terminal to positive but air horns need to be only positive to positive terminal. They use a lot of juice so need a good earth. I'm not sure that a voltage spike is relevant unless you happen to be pressing...

Re: SP250 Air filters

Nick/Andrew, I have followed you instructions to the letter, including Andrews suggestion of extra width on the filter material. The carburettors now produce a whistling noise, have either of you two experienced this. It is most annoying. Thanks Paul Are you confusing the whistling with the hiss? I...

Re: My new Dart

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the joys of driving a Dart. :D Yes, you need a key which is different from the ignition key. I got keys from https://www.replacementkeys.co.uk/vehicle/classic-car/ beginning with FP. Is there a number on the locks? Many people say they can smell petrol in the boot...
