Hi, yep ash strip was 1/4 thickness and 2 1/2 wide all kiln dried which you can get of ebay, just make sure there are no defects and avoid any ash with knots or lumps etc. it was hard to begin with, steaming/bending and gluing didn't take long to do but most of the work was in making the lap joint a...

That's good news, the depth was another issue to get absolute right, as mine was the alternator type pulley it maybe was not as strong as the dynamo type pulley. and a measure before really is needed. still have the (new) pump on the V8 when it was fitted in 2003 so a job that is rare to do again? a...

Hi, if you need to change the flexible water hoses than either get a silicone set or the copper modded version. I have the silicone set and had no issues or leaks from them and have been fitted for some time. well many years ago. Tony

Hi, fitted spax adjustable on my fathers mk2 3.4 man/od and had the front setting at 10 (max is 14) and the rear at 7 but I had just fitted all the suspension with polybushes all round so that will/might make a difference, jag mk2 is heavier at the front end so maybe go a bit softer with the V8 lump...

Hi, sorry to come to this late, but the earlier pulley was different to the later alternator version which has a larger outer pulley, I did remove my pulley when changing my water pump, the old pulley cracked after using a 30ton press and luckily I had a spare one which is still on the car after 15 ...
