Re: Majestic 3.8 litre - buying advice....

I've never seen Majestic body panels "easily available". Likewise screen rubbers. Some years ago I bought a set for my Majestic Major from John Nash. At the time they were the last set he had, made in Australia as I recall. I don't know if any more have been made since then.

Re: NEC CLASSIC CAR SHOW

I parked 2 train stops down the line. Free parking and £2.90 return train ticket. 7 minutes on the train to Birmingham International. It took me 15 minutes from parking the car in the station car park, walking to the station, getting the ticket and then the train to get to the NEC. Even less if you ...

Re: Unkown Daimler?

I wonder how much work it would be to turn it into a recreation of the DE36 Drophead Coupe, one of which is the Gaydon museum. That would be a good project.

For a different car I ordered a pair of cylinder heads from America on a Thursday afternoon in UK time (late morning US time) and they were delivered to my home address on the following Monday morning. They had actually arrived in the ...

It's been there a long time. There's another thread in the forum from 2019 about it.

Re: Water coolant

All engines are designed to run at approximately the same temperature. Obviously not hot, but not too cool either. Engine oils are working at their best when in the 90c - 100c range - that is their design optimum envelope. We seem to have developed an obsession with making engines run cool, often be...
