it has to be this type not what you buy as your normal gear oil hypo attacks the bronze causing wear .

Sadly even they are known to fail could revert back to old units if you still have them as a test.

Have you changed the condenser as this could cause a similar problem. just seen another posting by Mike which is similar

I think stop engine it should whine on tickover there is a problem that can only be mechanical wear or broken,could be in the fluid flywheel or the box. Might be the driven plate in the flywheel but only a guess and you would be lucky , if mine i think remove box and look further could drain oil to ...

We are allowed to stand on a bus or train plus classic cars never fitted with seat belts are allowed children in the back, they were not really on the open road as it was only wedding cars at not much more then walking pace. Nice to see the Daimlers out sure you would have felt left out had they not...
