I don't know of any retail source of half round or 'D' section tube. This firm can supply half round bar 20mm x 10mm which is near your required size, but I suspect 'D' section is usually rolled from round tube by specialists to order. Re the colours; this may help a bit. After the Jaguar take-over in 1960 I think the range of possible colours expanded significantly.

Splendid! Me-thinks Vortex O'Plinth will soon become the Pink Panther? Will it be going to Wheel Nuts in Stroud?
