Is it something like this ? You can buzz it out with your DVM.... as you cycle the switch and the ignition key, you will find that one terminal connects to all the others. Probably the one at bottom left. That terminal is the live feed. Then there will be Sides, Heads, perhaps a Park position where ...

I have a recollection, from when I was restoring my SP, that the entire TR6 front suspension could be used wth benefits for improved castor, but that the TR hubs had to be used as the hub spindle for the SP is a larger diameter. I'm out of touch as I no longer have a TR6, but what have the TR boys done about trunnions?

If there are options there, what would it take to adapt the SP suspension to use TR trunnions?

As a matter of interest Jay Leno has modified his SP to take a downdraft carby. Way back some one commented that this modification resulted in no real benifit at all!!! As someone who changed his Rover V8 from SUs to an Edelbrock, I would say that the Edelbrock is certainly tunable proved one buys ...
