Re: Seats & Headlining

Hello Bob, I have used Ambersil Auto Groom on numerous occasions with various classics and have found it to be very good; this also includes cleaning headlining. As for the seats, it depends how bad they are and if a repair is VFM against new covers. Trimmers pretty much name their own terms when it...

Re: Old Forum down

Hello, I am all for preserving historic information, which in turn forms a decent knowledge platform for all model owners. Playing Devils Advocate, I think the powers to be within DLOC will point out that by spending £1200, it is doing so not just for members but is also indirectly subsidising non-m...

Re: An ethanol problem?

Hello Syd,

When I purchased my V8 saloon about 2yrs ago, it did indeed have the plastic fuel pipes in the engine bay and fuel pump area, not a length of rubber fuel pipe in sight !!

Pleased to have got rid of those OE plastic pipes.

Regards.

Re: An ethanol problem?

Hello Nick, As per the comments above , I regret to say that R6 fuel hose is seriously out of date and not compatible with ethanol fuel; in fact R9 superseded the R6 material with R14 further up the safety list. On the Daimler and Triumph Vitesse, both vehicles now have Gates Barricade (GB) fuel pip...

V8-250 Saloon: No Oil Pressure

Hello, I was having a very interesting chat with the owner of a Daimler V8-250 saloon the other week who relayed a story regarding an issue he had not being able to get an oil pressure reading after doing a straight forward annual oil change. He had taken the car for a run before draining the oil ho...
