Re: Trickle charger

Hello Ron, I have used CTEK in the past and they are excellent, as Kevin says. However, I have also been using this unit from Maypole and to date I cannot fault it: https://www.maypoleltd.com/product/mp7423-4a-6-12v-electronic-smart-charger/ For sale on Amazon or eBay for less than £25. Re: V8 250 exhaust woes

Hello Steve, That's a bit like the curate's egg - good in parts !! Would certainly be worth checking the big end bearing shells etc, just depends how far you want to go and how much has been done to the engine previously. The majority of them can be changed in situ but the rearmost cannot, unless th...

Re: V8 250 exhaust woes

Steve, One issue I found when refitting the down pipes to the manifolds using the new style crushable sealing rings, was that the OE studs were not long enough to allow the washer and brass nuts to be fitted. In the end I purchased slightly longer studs and this solved the problem. I mention this in...

Re: Insurance

I thought the same and was waiting to see if anyone was going to comment. At least it's a webpage relevant to motoring and not for something totally different. That may be the case John, but it undermines those companies that are paying DLOC good money to advertise in the DM. If Karen wishes to pro...

Conquest Heads - Differences

Hello, I am hoping someone can provide information on the following please. Was the same engine block used for both the Conquest and Conquest Century vehicles ?? I know the Century had an alloy head with larger valves, higher CR, high lift cam and twin carbs. Other than that are they the only differ...

Re: Saloon leaf spring lubrication

Hello Rob,

Photos attached, as agreed.

On this particular spring I was able to remove all but 4x leaves, of which these were separated by the red wedges as stated previously.

Regards.

Richard.
