Re: Conquest Sunroof - STUCK!

Success at last! Once the two screws were removed/drilled out, the triangular metal tabs were knocked to the sides. These carry the guide pads that slide on the runners. With the front end now loose and in the closed position it is then pushed up free of the runners to a fairly steep angle and the r...

Re: Conquest Sunroof - STUCK!

“ Pytchley - Weathershields Sliding Roof” is what we’re dealing with here - just found the plate. Thanks completely to the helpful replies so far, I have at least managed to gently prise the roof open and lubricate it enough for it to move back and forth, albeit with some effort. Problem is that the...

Re: Conquest Sunroof - STUCK!

Thanks for these helpful replies; I will try them hopefully this weekend. If it's a rare option, that explains the difficulty I've had researching!

Conquest Sunroof - STUCK!

My Conquest Century Mk2 has a factory-fitted sunroof (do they all?) which is stuck fast in the closed position. Silly question number 1: although ‘closed’ the rear edge is below the main roof by 3/4” , erm, is this normal? Q2: Any clever soul got a drawing/schematic/sledgehammer/any knowledge of the...

Re: DB18 door-window seal

I have been put in touch with a fellow owner and will be examining his beautiful DB18 in the new year. Then armed with the Phoenix’s catalogue - which looks exceedingly useful by the way - I am hopeful at finding a match. Again, I’ll report back with results. Meanwhile thanks to all involved.

DB18 door-window seal

Gradually restoring 1949 DB18 saloon but facing silly problem. All 4 doors are missing the seal which goes on the outside of the windows. It looks like it was nailed to the frame but not a scrap remains! So can anyone help with what the profile should look like, or preferably point me at a likely su...
