Just in case someone else has a similar problem - both tubes are "locked in"
with 2 steel dowels/clevis pins in an x-shape at each end of both tubes but
they take some drilling out !!
Brake tube ones are conspicuous but main tube are virtually invisible -good luck with those !

Hi, trying to overhaul front brakes etc and struggling to split the assembly. It is 2 tubes the outer width of the chassis , one of which rotates to operate the brake levers and therefore move the rods accordingly. The other rod/tube provides strength I believe and also holds one of the two legs hol...

Hi, just googled and found a video showing water pouring out of the system !!!
Need to clean the whole unit down then strip.

Just posted a question on this Daimler "Hearse" which I bought last year. Number hasn't been removed !! Car is stripped to rolling chassis and I have replaced all wood with new ash and not scaffolding planks and pine that it came with. The question is about how the power brakes work before...
