Re: Daimlers Spotted - Harlaxton Lincolnshire

Thanks Graham, I think owners like to see their cars being photographed independently, especially if they can recover the photos to add to the history file. Spoke with Andrew not so long ago, covering the subject of their Special Sports, a stunning vehicle and still for sale I believe. Regards. Rich...

Daimlers Spotted - Harlaxton Lincolnshire

Hello, A friend attend the Grantham Classic Car Club get together earlier this week, at Harlaxton in Lincolnshire. The meeting produced some very lovely multi marque classics on a fine summer evening. Within the meeting, a couple of Daimler V8's - perhaps you are the owner of one of these cars ?? Re...

Re: Mission of mercy to help my old dad out!

I did flag that Brian, but no response from the OP as to whether that course of action has been taken and if so, successful.

Regards.

Re: Head Light Reflectors

Thanks Nick, Spot-on, it is indeed Keith Ardley; he was at the Daimler / Jaguar Spares Day in either October or November last year and seemed to be doing a decent trade. Hopefully the Covid situation has not forced him to consider calling it a day. As you say, he is the first port-of-call for such w...

Re: Head Light Reflectors

I recall a chap who attended autojumbles and big shows with a stand on a very regular basis - he and his wife primarily dealt with re-silvering classic and vintage headlights etc. Think he is in the Suffolk / Cambs area. Will check when in the garage tomorrow, I may still have his card to hand, but ...

Re: Mission of mercy to help my old dad out!

Another option, although I'm sure you have done this, is place in the eBay search frame - driving member and then the year. By entering only those search requirements it will bring up all the available DM's for sale - it is just a case of remembering what the front page was !! My final suggestion an...

Re: Mission of mercy to help my old dad out!

The DM Editor does not keep back issues - all DM publications are handled by I believe Lavenham Press. It is highly unlikely they will have a back issue that old, but worth a call on 01787.249.282 and ask for DLOC Membership - explain your dilemma. The other alternative is to use the Forum search en...

Re: Rear parcel shelf

It is certainly doable, Ron, hopefully you have the 3x clips that locate in to the top of the metal (body) parcel shelf ?? If so, you are home and dry - the card / ply does not need to be too thick.

Good luck.

Richard.
