Re: Rear parcel shelf

Hello Ron, BAS International have those in stock, prior to covering in the customers choice. I'm sure they would sell one if approached and of course they come with the correct metal fixings to fit properly. http://www.car-hood.co.uk/ Do you have one currently fitted or without one ?? The reason I a...

Re: Powerspark

As mentioned, having copper core HT leads is no-no; this is because copper has negligible RFI suppression and that has a knock-on effect with electronic modules. I have always used a Lucas Sports Coil to give extra output and to finish off I open the spark plug gap slightly from .025 to either .028 ...

Re: Powerspark

Hello Barry, I have used Powerspark for numerous years on various classics and never had an issue; in fact I will be fitting a Powerspark EI module when my distributor comes back from the Distributor Doctor - he is rebuilding it: http://www.distributordoctor.com/ The biggest problem that owners have...

V8-250 Saloon: EI Module - Securing Nuts

Hello. If you have Electronic Ignition (EI) on your vehicle, I will be very grateful if you could let me know the type of nut / screw that is securing your module to the base plate, please. You can see from the photo that my V8 saloon has 2x domed hex nuts which I thought unusual - is your set-up th...

Re: correct ATF for the BW35

Hello,

Sackcloth and Ashes for me.

As Bud pointed out initially the BW35 if a "F" type and not an "A" as I had indicated.

Apologies for the error, Gordon.

Indeed my autobox had been rebuilt, hence the oil I pitched - thanks Bob & H.

Regards.

Richard.

Re: correct ATF for the BW35

Hello Gordon, When I had the BW35 in my V8-250, I used Penrite Classic ATF which proved to be excellent and gave a very smooth gear change. The Daimler autobox requires a TYPE A fluid. May I suggest that the failure to engage D2 and L is an adjustment issue and not the oil. Regards. Richard. https:/...
