Re: Dart Overdrive Inhibitor Switch
Hi Roger, do you know whether you have a "J" or "A" type overdrive? The J type solenoid acts directly, so the electrical connection to the solenoid is often the culprit for an intermittent overdrive, but the A type operation is more complicated, and as well as the electrical conn...

Re: Exhaust Manifold
Roger,
if you're in the DLOC, have a look at the classifieds in the new DM - Mike Gallagher is having a clear out, so it might be worth asking him.
regards,
John

Re: SP250 FRONT COIL SPRINGS
I'm interested in any views on this too, Terry, as since I've put new rear springs on my SP looks distinctly down at the nose. I also seem to remember an earlier post about suppliers V8-250 front springs that seemed to be too short, so before I change mine I'd also like to hear others' experiences o...

Re: My new Dart
Hi Bill you have another SP250 owner in Basel - Hans Hebel (heh101353 on here) he's a very friendly guy and I'm sure he'd be delighted to help you familiarise yourself with your new SP. Enjoy the car, hope it's not too long before you get the paperwork arranged. Welcome to the Forum! regards, John

Re: SP250 Replacement Leaf Springs
Ian,
I think you're probably correct - the torsional stiffening is a major part of the improvement the conversion gives.
Mind you, in my case replacing the tired springs and the poor lever arm shocks has also contributed more than somewhat

Re: SP250 Replacement Leaf Springs
Hi Paul, Yes, it seems nicely clear of the underside - the closest the assembly comes to the body is just at the bottom of the inner wheelarch where the crossbar is bolted to the main bracket fitted to the original shock mounting brackets. At that point there's probably 3/8"-1/2" clearance...

Re: Old Forum down
Sounds like a worthwhile investment to me, Chris - the Club has considerable funds to cover it, one would think.
Would it be a good idea for Forum members of like mind to email Graham and Peter directly, to encourage them to look into the transfer of data as a matter of urgency?
