Worm and wheels identification.
Can anyone help identify a rear axle part for me. I have a new old stock bronze wheel drawing number 242924. I may even have the worm to go with it. The axle ratio is 7.38 which going by the part number and ratio suggests late 1920”s or early 1930”s. I have looked through many part books without any...

Re: Daimler DB18 door handles
Still progressing but slowly. The company are currently making another small batch of the Art Deco locking handles for me and investigating chrome plating the stainless steel. The DB18 ones are then hopefully going into production. I would think 3d printed would be the only viable option for the LD1...

Re: Polyurethane bush material
There are 2 ways that I know of.
Industrial polyurethane companies can cast them in given the jigs needed to locate the parts.
For small batches/ 1 off’s Devcon Flexane 2 pack polyurethane works well and there is a liquid which can be applied to the steel before the casting material goes in.

Re: Polyurethane bush material
The colour of poly bushes is just that colour. The only way to test hardness is on a hardness test machine. I would consider a minimum of shore A60 and a maximum of shore A85 I have used A85 for engine mounts and bump stops but would consider trying a slightly softer grade if I was going to make any...

Re: Daimler DB18 door handles
It is progressing. I haven’t pushed hard for a production run yet as there hasn’t been a big response for them and it will mean me investing large amounts more of my money to fill my shelves with stock not many people seem to want.
