This car which was featured in my DJ254 book, plates 27 & 28, pages37-38 was sold by Bonhams at Beaulieu on Saturday for £37,950. Club members that had viewed it earlier considered that it needed attention to bodywork.

Looks a very nice restoration but I think the price should be around £30,000 to £34,000.
All that work and they have he 'D' motif in the centre of the steering wheel upside down.

Mark, I read your email thought about cost of paintwork etc. Does the gearbox on these come up through the floor ? I was becoming tempted have just looked again and she is sold. Have passed Claudio's emails re Cylinder heads to Tony Kinns but he is ttrying to think of other ways! I will see Claudio ...

I spoke to Ben last night he has known the owner, John Debruny, who has had the car for about 30 years. It is 53790 and was a Docker car when new.

I was told about this car in 2010, by Ben Hogan from whom I bought my NDHC. Ben said the owner knows what it is and is not interested in selling.
