I am looking for a right wheel cylinder for a Special Sports. Does anyone know where I could purchase one?
Thank you

Re: Special Sports Core Plugs
Thank you. I agree with your suggestion that I should clean out the water passages while I have access.

Special Sports Core Plugs
My DB18 Special Sports has core plug leaks on the two plugs below the inlet manifold. I would like information about where the other block core plugs are located. Thank you

Re: Conquest Drophead Coupe Door Handle
These door handles and some other DJ252 hardware were used on other Carbodies convertibles of the same time period. A friend who passed away last year had an Austin Convertible with the same handles - I am certain that he told me a few years ago that reproductions were available. Unfortunately I don...

Re: Conquest Starting Handle storage brackets
Hi Henry,
Here are a couple of pictures from my DJ252. As you can see, the distance between the vertical bracket and the rear horizontal bracket corresponds to dimensions of the starting handle. Hope this helps.

Worm Driven Rear Axle
Am I correct in assuming that the worm drive on the rear axle of a DB18 Special Sports prevents the vehicle from being maneuvered manually (ie, car doesn’t roll if pushed)?

Re: Conquest Sump
Mike,
In the past, I have purchased these rubber buffers from John Nash. I am not sure whether he currently stocks them.

Re: DJ252 QUATER LIGHT WINDOW
I think that Conquests were designed on the “flow through” principle. There is a rubber strip at the bottom of the quarter window on my DJ 252, but this is more of a water deflector than a seal. Also, the bottom of the hood behind the quarter window does not seal out water, but deflects it to a tray...

Re: Conquest or Century carpet retaining rubber
I think I was following Mike Gray’s advice when I did mine last year. The rubber turned out extremely well. I installed it with a steel strip through the “U”, fixed with pop rivets.

Re: DB18 Consort gearbox removal
I changed the fluid flywheel seal on one of my Conquests by dropping the gearbox on a jack. Car needs to be lifted high enough that you can maneuver the gear box far enough out of the way to access the fluid flywheel. I jacked the car up so that the bumpers were about 20” off the ground and supporte...
