Re: Conquest Coupe (power hood)
Geoff, I am not local to you (I am in Canada), however, I am nearing completion of a rolling restoration of a DJ252 which I purchased as a running car in 2014. I have done some mechanical work, extensive bodywork, and complete re-upholstery (seats, hood, carpet, door cards). I would be happy to answ...

Conquest Voltage Regulator
I need to replace the mechanical voltage regulator on one of my cars (voltage too high - attempted to adjust but no response). I am looking for advice on replacement mechanical or electronic regulators.

Re: Wilson pre-selected gearbox
Julian, Following up on John's comment, it looks from your photo like the gear change quadrant may be rotated on the steering column too far in a counter-clockwise direction. I suggest that you examine this. Rotating the quadrant clockwise by a few degress would remove the interference and would als...

Re: Control Head Assembly for DB18
Julian,
In the photo you posted regarding gear change lever, the clamp for the adjustable steering column is visible. You should therefore order the control head to suit an adjustable column.

Re: Conquest Temp Gauge
The temperature gauge is mechanical with a capilliary tube and bulb (ie, not electric). In addition to the Smiths electric gauge, there is also a Smiths mechanical/capilliary tube gauge available in the correct size with a magnolia face. One of my MK1 cars also suffers from a mismatched temperature ...

Re: Using molasses for rust removal
On the old forum about 2 years ago there was a lot of discussion regarding the use of molasses for rust removal. I'm not sure if the thread can be accessed. I have successfully used a molasses/water solution to remove rust from small hardware (nuts, bolts, washers, brackets). I left the parts to soa...

Keith,
If it is the same as the Conquest, those are the only 2 fuses - none behind the instrument panel.

In the Parts Manual for the Mark 2 Conquest, Daimler calls it an "Air Silencer Pipe", part no. 134639.
