Look at the failed bulbs. If they appear smokey, it's over voltage.
I'm still hedging bets the regulator is running at 16 volts or more, or a loose battery terminal causing voltage to rise steeply.

I resolved a strange mystery on my Siddeley a while back. It kept losing the left hand rear lamp glass. Fortunately they had been swapped for Triumph Spitfire lamps so spares were easy to get. Basically, water is getting into the oil side of the engine. Look for weeping up the threads of the head studs into the rocker box.
