Hi, well, I managed to Drill out all 6 broken off Studs and re-tap the 3/8 BSF threads successfully, so now need to get some replacement Studs turned up, to finish the job off.

Hi Chris, interesting about the theory of increased oil leakage using Synthetic Oils, and their effect on seals. Most of the early Lanchester engines used the Scroll type of seal, so perhaps it may be true that the thinner grades may leak more, only by experimenting will I eventually find out I supp...

You can see, the state of the Two Piston's that were seized in the Bores, at the moment, the Gudgeon Pins are also seized in the Pistons. L@@ks like more "gentle persuasion " is going to be needed !!
