Re: Daimler 15 rear differential/worm
Thanks for the info Stan. I have already washed the differential with paraffin and filled it with Mystik JT-7 Gear Lubricant, 85W140. (quote: Mystik JT-7 Multi-Purpose Gear Lubricants, in addition to meeting API GL-6, meets the requirements of the API MT-1 Classification for non-synchronized manual ...

Re: Daimler 15 rear differential/worm
Thanks for the reply Steve! If there is no backlash adjustment then that might explain why the only info I could find was basically for changing parts and the bottom line was "assemble it the same way as you took it apart". I don't know how one could find the central position accurate enou...

Daimler 15 rear differential/worm
As part of the restoration of my car, I decided to change the oil in rear axle for the first time in at least 42 years (has been in storage awaiting restoration). First question: is this a Type 3 differential? 1.JPG 4.JPG The oil was more like tar 2.JPG so I thought maybe this thick tar like stuff w...

Re: Daimler 15 hand brake
It was chromed without taking it apart. Results were satisfactory, not perfect. Parts are put away but will try to post a better photo later.

Re: Daimler 15 hinged windscreen disassembled
Hi Alan,
No question, just sharing some info. When I had asked on a different post about taking apart the windscreen, I received no reply. So I thought this might help the next person who might want to attempt to take apart the frame for re-chroming.
