Hello Matthew The seal material I just gathered from offcuts from my employer!! They are nothing special apart from being flame retardant and heat resistant. I think a search in the web will reveal many sources of material sold by the yard (or meter) perhaps even something from the DIY store or heat...

This thread reminded me of the advertisement below I saw a few weeks back, not "one of us" but an another iconic name in "car" manufacturing nonetheless.

Thanks very much for the tip, that is an even better idea. Trailer arrived but winch was not operating so had to drive it on, in spite of not running for several weeks fired up immediately and conquered the steep incline onto the trailer with aplomb!! Steve, What a blow! AW's theory sounds very plausable, the bolts are very short and more than just a few folk here have had to do a bit of bashing about to get the coolant to flow , when I did the job I also had to clear an allbeit soft-ish blockage before all the muck/coolant mixture emerged.
