Hi Chaps,this may seem to be a daft question,but, can someone enlighten me to whether my 1976 Yamaha RS100 is also exempted from having to have an MOT test please ? The reason I asked was,I returned my Yamaha, back on the road last year , it didn’t occur to me at the time but I seem to have Taxed it...

Hi, the Heater was just simply “Plumbed” into the bottom hose, seem to remember there was a Socket on the steering column and the lead was plugged into the mains(. 240 V )
I’ll dig it out when I get the chance, and put a picture of it on here .

Yes this is probably. “Bray” water heater for the cooling system, there was one fitted to my Lanchester when I acquired it , complete wtith a 5 Amp plug fitted. I have often considered refitting it to keep the “ Old Girl” warm during the winter! Cheers and a Very Happy New Year to you all , :D :D

Hi, forgive me if I’m wrong, but surely a 20/60 grade oil is a 20 grade , we have had prolonged discussions on this subject in the past. The “ 60 “ part only applies when the oil has reached normal working temperature,and means that one would need a “Straight” 60 grade of oil to duplicate the viscos...

Hi, are you sure that the Handbrake is not on? This is what happens when you raise the revs with car in gear with brake on. I know from bitter experience !!
