Update :- Gosnays say that have bearings that are correct in both inner and outer diameter, but need to be narrowed to fit.. I believe that is the route I took on last MM engine I refreshed back in late 70s..

Thanks..I emailed Russ today.. will see what transpires.. also contacted Robert Grinter.. who initially replied promptly and said he has them available, but Ive been unable to reach him since ( a week or so now)

A definitive answer can be found in Nigel Thorley's "Original jaguar Mk1/Mk2" subtitled 'the restorers guide' ..which also covers the Daimler variants.. HOWEVER :- some colors on heritage certificates dont match those on charts.. for instance 'cream' ..which as far as i can tell is 'old en...

Does anyone know of a source for billet steel main bearing caps ? I am unable to see how anyone would improve power output of these engines without addressing modifying the lower end to make it hold up. I'm stuck on an engine rebuild right now due to one broken main bearing cap..cyl block is at mach...
