Unsure of this oil seal's location on the shaft, but it could be the culprit.

My front bumper seems to have twin spring bars (Item #3) fitted.
Are there two bars welded together to form one piece or was this a post-accident 'enhancement' by a previous owner?
(Over-riders appear to be from an E-Type.)
